a month agoThe best doner I’ve had in SoCal — juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. As a Turkish person, this is the first and only place I go when I’m craving real Turkish doner. The prices are also very reasonable, and at least you’re getting real meat. There aren’t many places where you can eat this well for the price.

2 months agoTried the doner plate here and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The meat was flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. The sauces complemented the dish perfectly without overpowering it. Service was quick and friendly, and the overall vibe of the place was clean and welcoming. Definitely a solid spot if you're craving a good doner in Costa Mesa. I’ll be coming back for sure.

2 months agoI've been a regular at Lake Forest location and just tried out the new Costa Mesa spot. The interior was super nice-looking and clean. It's relatively new so crowded, comfy chairs, same amazing food. We were fortunate enough to have some yaprak döner that was the FIRST BATCH cut from a brand new döner... vertical unit attached on? like the first layer of doner freshly cooked and sliced. and if you've ever experienced that you know how good it is. All of 4, 5 of us in the group kept saying and agreeing that it genuinely tasted like we were back in Turkey. We also had the chicken döner and again, tasted just like döner you would eat in Turkey. It is so rare to have the "tastes like it should" feeling about iconic food from your childhood/country and now we have 2 döner shops in OC that you can get that from! While waiting for the main döner, we also tried the Paca soup (they also have Lentil soup) and new falafel vegetarian item and the headline for me is always the döner, of course, but the falafel was also excellent. Super great portion size, great service, friendly staff, very nice store hours (open very late some days it looks like) and a taste of Turkey in Costa Mesa, best döner in the U.S. by far.

2 months agoJust had an amazing experience at Alien Döner in Costa Mesa! 🔥🐄🐔🥗🥛🍽 The food is seriously top-tier. The et döner is juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of that authentic Anatolian & Mediterranean flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite. Paired it with a cold ayran, and it was the perfect combo 👌 Also tried the falafel crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and super flavorful. They’ve got a great variety of drinks too, so there’s something for everyone. Service was just as impressive. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable it feels like you’re being treated as a guest, not just a customer. 🙌 The place itself is clean and modern. Loved the chairs very comfortable and stylish. And the self-ordering kiosk is super fast and easy to use, which makes the whole experience smooth and efficient. If you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean/Turkish food with great service and a modern vibe, this spot is a must. Highly recommend! 1️⃣0️⃣ point ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2 months agoAlien doner is my favorite doner joint so far, the meat quality is consistently delicious and their sides are amazing! The beef doner plate with a side of baba ganoush, hummus and their spicy pickles is the perfect dinner combination that I crave regularly. I can’t recommend this place enough with their delicious plates, fair pricing and excellent service it’s the perfect place to dine at! I hope they open up a location closer to me soon 😋😋

3 months agoAlien Doner was absolutely amazing—definitely the highlight! The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality. The place itself is very clean, spacious, and has a modern design. I especially loved the fun Alien Döner theme on the walls—it gives the restaurant a unique and memorable vibe. The ordering process was quick and organized, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

a year ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. Hands down the best Turkish döner I’ve had in the States — possibly ever. The meat is insanely tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can tell it’s carved fresh off the spit — no shortcuts here. I tried both the plate and the wrap, and they both slapped. The wrap was wrapped tight with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. And the plate? That rich tomato sauce, the creamy yogurt, the fresh grilled pepper — it was chef’s kiss perfection. Everything tastes legit, like you’re sitting at a street-side joint in Istanbul. No gimmicks, just straight-up quality. I’m coming back, and bringing everyone I know. 🔥🔥🔥
